Approach
Work is centred on bespoke, joinery-led interiors, where joinery forms the framework for how a space is organised and experienced. Each project is shaped by function, proportion, and how it will actually be used, with an emphasis on clarity, restraint, and longevity. The aim is to create spaces that feel practical, personal, and quietly considered. Working closely with clients and makers is a key part of this, helping shape outcomes that are thoughtful, transparent, and executable. Ideas are developed collaboratively, then gradually refined into detailed, buildable outcomes supported by clear documentation for construction. The result is calm, well-resolved spaces that feel balanced and intuitive to use.
In Short
Sophie is an Adelaide-based designer with a long-standing career in the industry. Her work focuses on considered spatial outcomes, using joinery as a structuring device for how interiors are planned and detailed. Projects are approached responsively, balancing function with discipline to create spaces that feel calm, practical, and personal. An ongoing interest in place, culture, music, and art subtly informs the work.

Kind Words
"From bold gestures to microscopic detail, nothing is overlooked. She will enrich your experience of materiality, ignite your passion for design, expand your sense of possibility and is unrelenting when it comes to delivering an exceptionally well-crafted space. All this achieved through meaningful and thoughtful collaboration whilst always looking after your purse strings! Truly, she is one-part creative genius, the other technical mastermind. so, if you are lucky enough to secure her avails, don’t hesitate. it was the best investment we made. it’s thoughtful design, packed full of punch, layers, bespoke details, expert restraint, bold and harmonious moments, soul and, importantly, fundamental function and form. and if the devils in the detail, then Sophie is as wicked as they come. "

"From the moment my husband Brandon and I met Sophie, we knew she would be an incredible asset to our renovation project. we wanted to use our kitchen and living spaces differently but were unsure how. Sophie has elevated the spaces in ways we never thought possible through creative ideas and thoughtful joinery design. not only is she a very talented professional when it comes to design and practicality, she provides excellent service. no question is off the table and she's responsive, encouraging and respectful of your preferences. we feel very grateful that we were able to work with Sophie on our project and couldn't have done it without her!"
Laura + Brandon
"Sophie's attention to detail and form is poetic to say the least.
Interacting with this space is perfection."
Michael + Toby
"Sophie’s approach was very thoughtful, considered and engaging, at the same time being innovative and bringing a wonderful aesthetic to the project. In every way, Sophie fulfilled the brief and enhanced the outcome for both the design and materials, with her exceptional attention to detail elevating the project to that of a master. Her extensive knowledge of design, industry connections, and software tools made the process very smooth, of high quality and lead to a successful construction stage.
I have no hesitation in recommending Sophie for the highest level of professionalism, quality, design knowledge and integrity."
